Former King Magazine E-I-C Gives Booty A Break
It only makes sense that the guy responsible for the success of King, XXL, Rides and other magazines would make a move into the streetwear arena. This week, Datwon Thomas will be hosting a special party to launch Nas’ anticipated collaboration with Fila. Ok, so Fila hasn’t really done much with their sneakers since the 90s but they’re banking on Nas’ star power to put them back on par with the likes of Nike, Reebok, Adidas, New Balance and Supra–which is gaining ground in the market.
The event is closed to the public and is invitation only. As you already know that means nothing when it comes to the crowd that will be struggling to get in.
In other news, Thomas is also working on a clothing line that should will be hitting store shelves and internet stores soon. More details will come as info becomes available.
