RECAP: Fila x Premium Goods Launch Party
Last Thursday night, the Fila store on Madison Avenue shut it’s doors and had a swarm of music and fashion industry come down to get plastered on free Hennessy for four hours. This was all to celebrate Fila’s launch of their collaboration with Nas.
The line outside wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated and getting in was no problem at all. The folks with the guest lists were polite and didn’t give you the feeling that you put your mouth on their private parts in order to get past. Even security was cool, I got in to the spot wearing a fitted. That in itself is a feat to marvel at.
Guests were given a one night 10% discount on everything in the store with all the drinks they could handle. The specials of the night were Mojitos and Henny mixed with Sprite. Both were delicious, respect to the bartenders for not making wuss drinks.
In typical D. Thomas fashion, he arrived about an hour past start time but was welcoming to everyone that showed up. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that it was DJ Soul spinning the rap classics.
Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything I was willing to buy that night but the drinks and music was enough to make the night worthwhile.
