VIBE To Drop “Tabloid” Issue
Concept issues are rarely a win in magazine land but VIBE seems to rolling the dice again with their second “Tabloid” issue.
If you think about it, an issue in this style would make sense since readers are still going nuts over anything paparazzi. Just ask TMZ.com. Other than hard news enthusiasts and uppity hipsters, no one seems to be in the mood for content that isn’t celebrity gossip driven. Could this be a spoof on our collective lack of an attention span? Knowing Danyel Smith, that would be a strong possibility.
